Keeley Simpson CIM, FDFSTM
Chief Executive Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Portfolio Manager
When a health crisis hits your family, everything changes. Fast.

That’s what happened to Keeley’s family when her mother, a business owner, fell ill — and her family lacked true financial planning advice and guidance.
Keeley’s mother lost her ability to earn an income, and so the family was left handling a health crisis and a financial one at the same time. That’s when Keeley, at a young age, decided to become a wealth advisor — to make sure this type of situation didn’t impact other families as it did hers.
Without proper advice and guidance, a family can’t thrive at creating wealth.

The crisis forged another belief: that it’s always been the norm in society for men to take care of the financial decisions in a household, but that we need to challenge the status quo — and hence, that every woman deserves honest financial advice and guidance.
To that end, Keeley has been providing — for more than 17 years — education specific to women investors – including many thousands through her presentations to the Women’s Alumnae Association of McGill University, from where she graduated in Finance & Accounting with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2009.
Another driver is based in Keeley’s decision to have four children in four years. It led her to contemplate her “why.” Ultimately she decided that starting Aretec was essential to achieve two goals: to be the best version of herself as an advisor, and as a mother.
As she relates, “My family is everything. And my clients are like family to me. I am doing this so I can take full ownership of what I’m doing every day, and to align myself with my true beliefs and provide the best possible advice to my clients.”
